Unique in the world: three plug-in hybrid models from Porsche celebrates world premiere in Paris

Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid celebrates world premiere in Paris

Stuttgart. The new Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid  celebrates its world premiere at the Paris Motor Show on October 2nd, 2014. It is the first plug-in hybrid in the premium SUV segment and it now sets the standards among luxury all-wheel-drive vehicles.

At the same time, it makes Porsche the leading manufacturer of plug-in hybrid cars.

Together with the Panamera S E-Hybrid  and the 918 Spyder  it is the only brand to offer three plug-in models.

Besides the Cayenne S E-Hybrid Porsche is also presenting updated models of the Cayenne S, Cayenne Turbo, Cayenne Diesel and Cayenne S Diesel in Paris.

Their main features are increased efficiency, even more precise handling, a more streamlined design and even more extensive standard equipment.

Thanks to plug-in hybrid technology the Cayenne S E-Hybrid has a fuel economy of only 3.4 litres per 100 kilometres and CO2 emissions of a mere 79 grams per kilometre. These are top values overall, especially for an all-wheel-drive car. Market reaction to the models with the advanced drive concept was accordingly positive: In the first eight months of 2014, Porsche delivered a total of 16,698 units of the Panamera of which 1,513 were Panamera S E-Hybrid models – a share of nine per cent. Porsche is also expecting very high sales figures for the Cayenne S E-Hybrid.

The Cayenne S E-Hybrid will be presented to the world public for the first time at the Porsche press conference in Hall 4 on October 2 at 9.35 am (CEST).

The conference will be broadcast live on the web (www.porsche.com/paris) and by satellite. Show débuts will also be celebrated by the Cayenne Diesel, Cayenne S Diesel, Cayenne S and the flagship model, the Cayenne Turbo.

VIDEO: 2014 Porsche Panamera – Looking to the future: World’s first plug-in hybrid drive in the luxury class

Panamera S E-Hybrid

Stuttgart. In the second generation of the Gran Turismo, Porsche is introducing the world’s first plug-in hybrid to the luxury class. Along with the Panamera S E-Hybrid with 416 hp of system power, two luxurious Executive versions are also making their debut with an extended wheelbase and an entirely new three-litre V6 engine with biturbo charging for the Panamera S and Panamera 4S.

Panamera S E-Hybrid

Panamera S E-Hybrid

An already unrivalled broad base of models has now been extended and consists of ten models offering an even further broader range between sportiness and comfort. New and further developed technologies have enabled fuel savings of up to 56 per cent, while further enhancing operating and driving comfort. The new Panamera underscores its exceptional positioning with an even more expressive design language in the style of the new sports car generations that are marked by tighter lines, more pronounced contours and newly shaped body elements. In short: The Porsche Panamera is even more efficient, sporty, comfortable and elegant. The new generation Gran Turismo celebrates its world premiere at Auto China in Shanghai, which opens its gates on the 21st of April 2013.

Panamera Turbo Executive

Panamera Turbo Executive

Panamera S E-Hybrid sets new standards in efficiency, performance and operating convenience
The Panamera S E-Hybrid is a systematically advanced development of the parallel full hybrids with a more powerful electric motor, a higher-performance battery that supplies more energy and the ability to charge it externally from the electrical grid. The electric drive produces 95 hp (70 kW), which is more than double the power of the previous model’s electric motor at 47 hp (34 kW). It draws its energy from a newly developed lithium-ion battery, which at 9.4 kWh has over five times the 1.7 kWh energy capacity of the previous battery in nickel metal hydride technology.

Panamera Turbo Executive

Panamera Turbo Executive

When connected to an industrial outlet, it can be charged within around two and a half hours via the integrated on-board charger and the standard Porsche Universal Charger (AC), and it can be charged in less than four hours when connected to a conventional household electrical outlet in Germany.

Panamera 4S

Panamera 4S

The Panamera S E-Hybrid far exceeds the driving performance of the previous model. In addition, the previous model’s NEDC fuel consumption of 7.1 l/100 km was reduced by 56 per cent to 3.1 l/100 km. That equates to CO2 emissions of 71 g/km. At the same time, its all-electric driving performance was substantially improved with regard to electric acceleration, the electric range and electric top speed. An intensive pure electric driving experience is possible without any fuel consumption or local emissions, which is especially advantageous in the urban environment.

Panamera 4S

Panamera 4S

The electric driving range of the Panamera S E-Hybrid was determined to be 36 kilometres in NEDC-based testing. Driving range may vary in real operation, since air conditioning and heating are deactivated in NEDC test conditions, for example. A realistic all-electric driving range in everyday operation would lie somewhere between 18 and 36 km – and under particularly favourable conditions it could even exceed this range. The Panamera with the new hybrid drive can reach speeds of up to 135 km/h in all-electric operation.

Panamera S E-Hybrid - Innenraum

Panamera S E-Hybrid – Innenraum

The acceleration time from a standstill to 100 km/h was shortened by half a second to 5.5 seconds. The electric boost function helps here, in which the performance of the electric motor boosts that of the combustion engine. Boosting can also be activated by kick-down – such as in overtaking situations. The car’s top speed is 270 km/h. The parallel full hybrid concept developed by Porsche also offers “coasting” at higher speeds, which refers to free coasting with the internal combustion engine shut off and energy recovery by generating electricity.

Panamera S E-Hybrid - Innenraum

Panamera S E-Hybrid – Innenraum

The forward-looking concept of the Panamera S E-Hybrid also embodies an entirely new range of convenience functions, which can also be activated and called up by a smart phone app.

There is the charge status indicator, for example. In addition, the auxiliary climate control option of the plug-in hybrid enables car preheating or cooling via Porsche Car Connect; it can be programmed in the vehicle or even more conveniently via the smart phone app. A smart phone may also be used for battery management or for remote access to vehicle information such as the remaining driving range or for guiding users back to their parked vehicles. All functions that are not specific to the hybrid drive are also available as options for the other Panamera models via the Car Connect smart phone app from Porsche.

Long wheelbase, spacious rear seating area: Executive models with the comfort of the exclusive class
The spatial concept of the Panamera with two full-fledged bucket seats in the rear seating area proved to be so successful that Porsche is further extending it in the new generation Gran Turismo. The new Panamera Turbo Executive and Panamera 4S Executive models – with their 15 cm longer wheelbase – offer more rear seating space and even better ride comfort. They have a very extensive range of features, and above all they offer exceptional comfort at both rear seat locations as standard. All Executive models have the innovative Panamera air suspension, which combines excellent ride comfort and typical Porsche driving properties.

More performance and efficiency by downsizing: new V6 biturbo engine
Boosting of performance and efficiency is a core competency at Porsche. In developing the new Panamera, this led to an entirely new engine based on the downsizing concept: a V6 engine with three litres displacement and biturbo charging.

The V6 biturbo replaces the previous 4.8-litre V8 engine in the Panamera S and Panamera 4S, and it is also used in the new Executive version of the Panamera 4S. Its basic parameters themselves are indicators of progress: 20 hp more power and 20 Newton metres more torque, but up to 18 per cent better fuel economy compared to the V8 engine in the previous model. This not only gives the driver a more powerful and efficient engine; turbocharging results in a maximum torque of 520 Newton metres being available over a very broad range of engine speeds for a superior and uniform power curve, even at low revs.

Most Panamera models are equipped with the seven-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung PDK. The comfortable eight-speed automatic Tiptronic S operates in the Panamera Diesel and Panamera S E-Hybrid. This transmission creates optimal conditions for further development of other efficiency functions. For example, the extended start-stop function now deactivates the engine earlier while coasting to a stop, which saves more fuel. With the exception of the Panamera GTS, models with PDK also offer a coasting function in which the clutches open in overrun, the engine idles, and the vehicle coasts freely. This function can significantly improve fuel economy, especially when travelling on the motorway.

Further developed design with a new option: LED headlights
The further advanced exterior design of the Panamera can be made out at first glance. The tighter and more prominent linework at the front end is especially apparent in the larger air intakes and the distinctive transition to the headlights. In side profile, the new, more swept-back rear window creates an even more extended silhouette. When viewed from the back, the new generation Panamera is primarily made out by its new boot lid. The widened rear window emphasises the horizontal orientation of the Gran Turismo and therefore its sporty character. The rear section itself was also redesigned, including the wider spoiler, and it shows a tighter transition to the rear lights, similar to the visual transition of the headlights at the front of the car.

As in previous models, the new Panamera models also offer many differentiating exterior characteristics. Further customisation is achieved by the numerous options that are offered, including the new LED headlights, which give the Gran Turismo a very special appearance.

The Panamera models are further upgraded by new standard features such as bi-xenon headlights, multifunction steering wheel and an automatic boot lid. In addition, an extended line-up of assistance systems is available for safety and convenience. The optimised adaptive cruise control system, for example, now actively intervenes in the braking process in hazardous situations. Camera-based traffic sign detection and lane departure warning offer greater convenience in cross-country and motorway travel.

The new generation of Panamera models will be launched on the market in July 2013. Prices start at 81,849 euros for the Panamera Diesel and 83,277 Euro for the Panamera. The Panamera 4 is priced at 88,513 euros, the Panamera S at 101,841 euros and the Panamera 4S at 107,196 euros. The Panamera S E-Hybrid costs 110,409 euros, which is followed by the Panamera GTS at 121,595 euros and the Panamera 4S Executive at 132,662 euros. The top models are the Panamera Turbo for 145,990 euros and the Panamera Turbo Executive for 163,364 euros. The cited prices are valid for Germany, including VAT and market-specific features.

At the beginning of next year, a new diesel engine with 300 hp (220 kW) will replace the current diesel, offering even more driving fun with typical diesel efficiency. Also arriving on the market in 2014 are the new Porsche Panamera Turbo S and Panamera Turbo S Executive. They represent the exclusive and sporty pinnacle of the model range.

TEASER VIDEO: The New Porsche SUV “Macan” Coming 2013

‘Macan’ has been confirmed as the official name of Porsche’s new crossover.

Watch the teaser rendering and video here, hot out of the oven!

Design drawing Porsche Macan

So far we knew this car as the Porsche Cajun. But the official announcement released by Porsche reveals the car’s real name as Macan.

It means Tiger in Indonesian language, and refers to the car’s superior power, agility, and dynamism. Watch the dramatic teaser video below:

“The Macan combines all sports car characteristics with the benefits of a SUV and is a genuine Porsche”

Name for new Porsche SUV is Macan

StuttgartDr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart’s new sports car in the SUV segment has been given the name Macan. The name Macan is derived from the Indonesian word for tiger and combines suppleness, power, fascination and dynamics – core characteristics of the new off-road car.

“The Macan combines all sports car characteristics with the benefits of a SUV and is a genuine Porsche”, said Bernhard Maier, Member of the Executive Board Sales and Marketing of Porsche AG.

“The name of a new Porsche has to fit with the brand, sound good in very many languages and dialects and evoke positive associations.”

As the fifth Porsche model line, the Macan is a central plank of Strategy 2018, by which the sports car manufacturer wishes to expand its model portfolio. Porsche intends the Macan to emulate the success of the Cayenne.

The SUV will start coming off the production lines in Leipzig in 2013.

To that end, the site in this city in Saxony is being expanded into a fully-fledged production plant including body assembly line and paint shop – with 500 million euro of investment one of the biggest building projects in Porsche’s corporate history. In the medium-term, the sports car manufacturer will be creating more than 1,000 new jobs here.

Word names at Porsche have a concrete connection with the corresponding model and its characteristics: the name Boxster describes the combination of boxer engine and roadster, Cayenne stands for sharpness, the Cayman is snappy and agile and a Panamera is more than a Gran Turismo, capable also of winning the Carrera Panamericana long-distance race.

Featured Videos: Porsche Winners of “My Daily Magic” Film Contest

When Porsche launched its new “Engineered for Magic. Everyday” advertising, the company also invited independent filmmakers to submit short films demonstrating how Porsche vehicles fit that motto.

The company let ten filmmakers borrow Porsches to produce their short videos, and has now released the winning video and the two runner-up sports on YouTube.

Check out the winning and two finalist My Daily Magic videos below.

The winning film was “It’s a Magical Life” by Michael Korbel, and follows the life story of a Porsche 911 owner — from meeting a girl on the beach to dropping his son off at school. Korbel’s film will be shown online and before movies at Spotlight Cinema Networks around the country.

Porsche also has published two of the ten finalist videos to YouTube. In “Sweet Dreams,” directed by Rod Guajardo, a young child dreams of the adventures her family will have driving to a picnic in a Porsche Panamera.

In Kristina Woo’s “The Ride”, a father uses his 911 Cabrio to recreate the open-air experience and thrills of a rollercoaster.

To further promote the “Everyday” marketing campaign, Porsche also has a new website where owners can submit stories, photos, and videos about their own vehicle. Called Porsche Everyday, the site contains everything from official Porsche TV commercials, to testimonials from owners with almost 300,000 miles on their Porsche.

To give credit where it’s due, the winning video was imaginative, documenting the very moment when a new Porschephile is born. As World Car Fans tells us, the 60 second video earns winner Michael Koerbel a choice of prizes: he can opt for a one year lease on a Porsche vehicle (up to $18,000 in value), or can take $18,000 cash and a trip to the video’s Red Carpet Premiere screening.

“The magic of Porsche is how thoroughly the cars transform your everyday, routine driving,” said David Pryor, vice president of marketing, Porsche Cars North America.

“It’s not only about the weekend joyride. It’s the only car in the world that combines true sports car exhilaration and the drivability for daily use. This campaign brings this fact to life, painting a bigger picture of the real Porsche value proposition, in some cases through the words and images of owners themselves.

Porsche’s crowd-puller: The new 911 Carrera-2011 IAA Frankfurt Motor Show

Porsche at the 2011 IAA Frankfurt Motor Show with four world premieres

Stuttgart. With the new 911 Carrera, the next completely redeveloped generation of the sports car classic by Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, celebrates its world premiere at the 2011 IAA Frankfurt Motor Show.

The sports car icon is stepping into the limelight with its flat, stretched silhouette, exciting contours and precisely designed details, yet from the very first glance it remains unmistakably a 911. True to the 911 tradition, the distinctive Porsche design language with its tendons and muscles exudes power and elegance. The 100 millimetre (3.94 inch) longer wheelbase and reduced height combined with the up to 20-inch wheels underpin the athletic appearance.

Setting the standard in its class, as it has for generations, the new 911 raises the performance and efficiency bar yet again. All Coupés get by with significantly less than ten litres of fuel per 100 kilometres. Fuel consumption and emissions are up to 16 per cent lower compared with its predecessor. The Carrera with the new 350 hp (257 kW) 3.4-litre boxer engine and optional Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK) consumes a mere 8.2 litres per 100 kilometres based on the NEDC – 1.6 l/100 km less than its predecessor. Also, at 194 g/km CO2, it is the first Porsche sports car to make it below the 200 g/km mark.

911 Carrera S

With the Carrera S as well, with its 3.8-litre boxer engine and what is now 400 hp (294 kW), fuel consumption when paired with the optional PDK is reduced by 14 per cent or 1.5 l/100 km to 8.7 l/100 km despite 15 hp (11 kW) more power. That equates to CO2 emissions of 205 g/km.

The all-new, lightweight body is an intelligent aluminium-steel construction. It is responsible for a significant proportion of the weight reduction of up to 45 kilograms. New active control systems elevate driving dynamics to an unprecedented level. The new electro-mechanical power steering offers Porsche’s typical precision and feedback, and also helps to economise on fuel. Moreover, the world’s first seven-speed manual transmission is featured as standard. Additional systems and functions such as auto start/stop, thermal management and electrical system recuperation further enhance the new Carrera’s efficiency.

Also celebrating a world premiere at the 2011 IAA Frankfurt Motor Show is the Panamera Diesel, the long-range cruiser in Porsche’s Gran Turismo stable with an impressive turn of speed. With a range in excess of 1,200 kilometres on a full 80 litre tank, it is a good bet as a distinctly economical GT saloon thanks to its fuel consumption of only 6.3 litres of diesel per 100 kilometres based on the NEDC with optional low-friction tyres.

Panamera Diesel

The new Panamera Diesel is powered by a smooth-running, three-litre V6 250 hp (184 kW) engine and a brawny maximum torque of 550 Newton metres. Power transmission is handled by an eight-speed automatic transmission.

911 GT3 RS 4.0

With the 911 GT3 RS 4.0, which is making its debut in front of an international public in Frankfurt, one of the most popular, coveted and successful Porsche racing pedigree production cars is entering the home straight.

Limited to 600 vehicles, the 911 GT3 RS 4.0 brings together in a road car all the attributes that have made the Porsche 911 GT3 a serial winner on the race track.

The four-litre displacement sports engine, the largest engine ever used in a production 911, produces 500 hp (368 kW). At 125 hp per litre, the engine is also the most powerful naturally aspirated engine. This propels the 911 GT2 RS 4.0 around the Nürburgring-Nordschleife circuit in 7:27 minutes.

The Cayman S Black Edition limited to 500 units is also celebrating its debut in Frankfurt. The all-black, mid-engine Coupé boasts even better performance than the Cayman S and offers especially lavish equipment. The Cayman S Black Edition is powered by a 3.4-litre flat-six engine with power output increased by 10 hp to 330 hp (243 kW). The greater power feeds directly through into the two-seater’s performance. The acceleration times from nought to 100 km/h (62 mph) are improved to 5.1 seconds with the six-speed manual transmission and to 5.0 seconds with the optional Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK).

Cayman S Black Edition

The world premieres are accompanied by two vehicles, which provide impressive proof of the tradition and future of Porsche Intelligent Performance. The Boxster E and the legendary “Semper Vivus”, the world’s first fully-functional, full-hybrid car. The Boxster E, with one electric motor apiece on front and rear axle, runs on purely electric power with four-wheel drive and is equivalent to a Boxster S in terms of driving dynamics. Together with two other Boxster Es, in which an electric motor drives the rear wheels, the prototype is being used to explore the everyday practicality of all-electric vehicles and how they are used, especially in terms of driving and battery charging.

The faithful reconstruction of the “Semper Vivus” pays tribute to the visionary invention of Ferdinand Porsche, who in building it in 1900 created the first ever functional vehicle with a series hybrid drive. The faithful replica, the visionary design of which impresses to this very day, was the outcome of a collaboration between Porsche Engineering and Karosseriebau Drescher, a coachbuilding company based in Hinterzarten (Germany).

Porsche looks forward to welcoming its visitors, prospective purchasers and customers at the IAA Motor Show in Hall 3.0, Stand A12. The press conference will take place on September 13th at the Porsche Stand.

Porsche: Robust Growth April Global Deliveries Up 53% On Year

Strong growth in April: Porsche reports a 53 per cent surge in customer deliveries Cayenne sales double and Panamera wins over even more buyers world-wide

FRANKFURT (Dow Jones)–German sportscar manufacturer Porsche Automobil Holding SE (PAH3.XE) said Tuesday its April global vehicle deliveries surged 53% on the year.

MAIN FACTS:

-In April 2011, customer deliveries rose to 11,741 vehicles world-wide.

-During the first four months of 2011, deliveries jumped nearly 32% from the year-earlier period.

-The new generation of the sporty Cayenne off-roader was the main driver of sales.

-With 19,175 deliveries from January to April, sales of this model have virtually doubled compared to the same period in the previous year.

-In Europe, April customer deliveries were up nearly 31% on the year.

-Frankfurt Bureau, Dow Jones Newswires; 49-69-29725-500

Stuttgart. Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, has made a good start in the spring:in April 2011, the sports car manufacturer showed an increase in customer deliveries to 11,741 vehicles world-wide.

This is a strong gain of 52.8 per cent over the same period in the previous year. Looking back on the first four months of the current financial year 2011, deliveries have jumped 31.5 per cent overall.

The main driving force behind this is the new generation of the sporty Cayenne off-roader. With 19,175 deliveries from January to April, sales of this model have virtually doubled compared to the same period in the previous year.

Bernhard Maier, Porsche AG Board of Management Member for Sales and Marketing, sees this as confirmation of the company‘s strategy:

“Every Porsche is the sportiest model in its segment. Our customers world-wide love the combination of performance and efficiency, such as in the new Panamera S Hybrid or 911 GT3 RS 4.0.”

Porsche has posted robust growth in all key sales regions. North America (USA and Canada), saw growth of 77.1 per cent in April, which is 3,495 vehicles more than the same month of the previous year. Of this, 3,172 vehicles (+ 81.5 %) were sold in the USA, which is traditionally the number 1 marketplace for Porsche.

In Europe, Porsche has reported a gain of 30.6 per cent in the fourth month of the year: exactly 3,896 more sporty vehicles were sold than in April 2010. In Germany, sales grew by 1,523 vehicles (+ 19.5 %). In Asia and in the rest of the world, sales rose by 56.5 per cent to 4,029 vehicles. China, now Porsche’s second most important market, reported continued growth; with 2,316 Porsche vehicles delivered, sales were up 48.8 per cent compared to April 2010.

The overall results for all four model series clearly reflect the positive development made by Porsche in the past month: 5,998 Cayenne models were sold, almost double the figure of the same month last year.

The Panamera as well, up 14.9 per cent with unit sales of 2,212, accounts for a significant share of Porsche’s success. In the sports car segment, the 911 almost matched the previous year’s level with 2,225 vehicles delivered (- 2.9%). Sales of Boxster series were down 8.7 per cent at 1,306 units. 762 vehicles were accounted for by the Boxster and 544 units by the Cayman.

Matt Drendel was very special to many of us. For me he was like Family. We spent many of hours on the phone talking about everything from Porsches, Mark Donohue, Al Holbert to how much we missed our Moms who have passed away. He was like a brother from another Mother.

This one for me is going to take a long time to digest, but will never be forgotten. His everyday kindness was remarkable as he always had a smile and something nice to say no matter what when we talked or saw each other. He was always so proud to share what he had going on and always willing to hear an idea or get my opinion on something, it was as if we had a connection with each other from the moment we met.

I will always feel special knowing he was my friend, brother and will always be missed.

All the best,

Paul Powell

Matthew Clayton Drendel – (May 31st, 1975 – November 24th, 2010)

In loving memory: Heritage Motorwerks, LLC.

The Porsche Community has lost an outstanding friend Matt Drendel and uber custodian of one of the most significant private Porsche collections in the world. Among many accomplishments in his 35 years Matt was CEO/Founder of Heritage Motorwerks LLC. The word Heritage is described as “Something that is passed down from preceding generations”, and at Heritage Motorwerks they simply followed in the footsteps of Porsche and their amazing appreciation for detail and how much pride they take in their product.  Heritage Motorwerks was founded by Porsche collector, Matthew Drendel and was initially formed as a group that would solely support and maintain his extensive collection.  Heritage Motorwerks was invited to Irvine, California to help in the filming of the Porsche Panamera “Family Tree” commercial. Matt being a avid Porsche collector had many of the cars in the Panorama commercial, including the 917/30, 962, GT1, 934, 935 and many others.

Matt provided a large section of his collection for the Heritage & Historic Display at Parade 2008 in Charlotte:

Matt’s first word was probably “Turbo” and he put together what has to be the most comprehensive and quality collections of historic Porsche Turbo models in the world including the first Turbo, and a 917/30….too many more to list here. Matt’s father Frank has long been a “Porschephile” also. (quoted from a close friend named Tim Herman, N.C.  from the Porsche356registry.org)

Matt Drendel also drove a Porsche 996  GT3-R in the GT3 Championship in 2001 with Darren Law, David Murray & Cort Wagner. Pictures of some of Matt’s racing cars

The 964 chassis 911 Turbo 3.6 marks the end of an era for Porsche, as it was the end of the single-turbo, rear-wheel driven 911 Turbos, making it especially prominent amongst discerning Porschephiles. This particular example is especially significant as it is the exact car used in the popular film “Bad Boys”, starring Will Smith, Martin Lawrence and Tea Leoni.

Matthew Clayton Drendel was 35 and died quickly of a stomach aneurysm on November 24, 2010.  The Drendel family is highly regarded in the Porsche community and has contributed a great amount to the quality of life here. Survivors include his wife, Shana Hefner Drendel; father, Frank M. Drendel; son, Zachary Matthew Drendel; and daughter, Alyssa Leigh Drendel. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Drendel family.

Classic 1994 Marketing Video Porsche 911 993 Series Commercial – Are you listening?

Classic 1994 marketing video for the Porsche 911 (993 Series) television commercial….Great production if I may add. This was many years ago of course. Sweet promo piece…Patrick Stewart’s voice takes you back to the Porsche commercials for the 993, includes commentary by Hurely Haywood…This one’s definitely a keeper.

The voice that speaks to you, knows you better than any
other. The voice that knows what makes you happy. The voice knows what
makes you sad. The voice that knows.

There is a place not to far away, where people heard the voice
and listen, it said to them, build something. Build something pure.
Build something that isn’t temporary, disposable, build something to
inspire all those that experience it. Build a monument. ……….

“…looking for things that weren’t created, to be something to everyone… but everything to someone…”.
That sentence says a lot…

via youtube.com

Music is by Deep Forest

 Porsche – “Are You Listening?”

Your heart is still speaking all you have to do is listen.

Like everything, LIFE is a journey. A journey
that begins with a beat of a heart. And the voice that comes with
it…the voice that we  haven’t yet been conditioned to ignore, so we
listen to what it tells us. We follow where it leads us, we trust it,
were children…we are happy, but somewhere between then and now, we
lose touch with the voice, no matter how closely it whispers, or how
loud it cry’s.

Instead are ears are tuned
to other things, like the stock reports, 6 o’clock news, then one day,
putting the forks in the dishwasher or mowing the lawn, we happened to
catch the glimpse of joy in our children’s faces….and we REMEMBER, what it felt like.

Remember ….what it felt like to listen to that voice in our
hearts…and go with it. Then suddenly out of nowhere this SPARK of
wisdom occurs. It becomes very clear. It’s NOT to late. Your heart’s still speaking. All you have to do is LISTEN.
